Well I’ve decided to revamp my entire site. I checked out some scripts for automation my thumbnail gallery. I was kind of forced into by an access issue to the internet any way it worked out fine. There are a few good scripts out there I decided to go with the fucky monkey script. It was a little hard to configure but once I got rolling I liked the control it gave me over every aspect of the way my page looked. I can now make changes and updates very easily.
Having said that I went through lull traffic wise. I wasn’t a getting the traffic that I wanted. I was working very hard submitting galleries to other tops with modest increases in traffic. The two gallery submitters that I tried to use turned out to be a little complicated so I decided to just use a script to allow me to build my galleries instead of by hand which saved me a massive amount of time that I could have used on other things. I found out the hard way that in order for the gallery submitter to be effective you have to have partnered accounts set up with tgp owners. And to effective it has to be a lot of partner accounts. I will use submitter in the future. I found a few good tgp who would accept my galleries with a free partner account. I decided to take massive action and grind out as many galleries a day that they would accept and a reciprocal link back to my index page. At last I saw some progress. I next sought out the use of some search engine optimization tools (SEO) used them to get my site up to speed with my competition and boom my traffic shot up more. I then brought back my blog for the purpose diving more traffic to my MGP. I decided to hand write my blog entries for right now because I wanted to use virals and have something a little different but I may use rss feed in the future. Final I bought one partner account at a major tgp where I could submit 10 galleries a day. I saw a major increase in my traffic jumping up nearly 40%. I’ll let you know what happens next
