I finally got the tube up and running

I finally got the tube up and running it took a while to get it going because my hosting company doesn’t offer a tube as part of its automatic script installation. I had to upgrade to virtual private server in order to run the script that I wanted & get some modules installed. It was a pain in the ass but it done. I’m running a script called Clip Bucket.

The process is still going to be the same as far ass trying to build traffic but it looks like the industry is moving in that direction so I have to keep pace and take my shot.

I JUST GOT MY TUBE PROGRAM RUNNING

I just got my tube program running. I downloaded it from PHPMOTION. I had to move up to a virtual server which cost me 20 $dollars more a month but I wanted to stay with my hosting company because I like their customer service. Canadian Web Hosting helped me out with the configuration. The migration was a pain in the ass. My tgp script stop working and I forgot that I had to configure the php.ini file, it’s been over a year since I installed the script. I kept bugging them that it wasn’t working until they figured it out. I felt stupid that I didn’t remember that. It’s true that if you don’t use it you loose it!
I want to make the tube my main page but I have to get some video’s upload and get the bugs out.

I bought a submit pass from boneme.com. I got tons of traffic the last time but no sales. I guess it’s funny that way some times. I have to up my traffic. I’m fading away in the alexia ranking. I was almost in the top 100,000 thousand A few short months ago. Any webmasters out there that want to submit a movie gallery to me can do it from my main site at porkbrothers.com I will give the tube address after I tighten it up a little.

I was asking some question on a forum site about making money from a tube and what the cost was bandwidth wise & someone reply that if I didn’t know all the info I shouldn’t do. My reply to that was that “I have to take a shot at the big time before there are a million porn tube sites out there”. I waited to long with my tgp site. I wanted to do this back in 2000. I may have been on top by now. I’ll keep you posted!

MAINTAINING TRAFFIC

We’ll folks I’ve not been able to give my all to this venture, do to being to busy with life. I’ve at the most been able to submit 3-galleries a week to other tgp’s and update my site once a week. I was however able to keep my unique visitors up between 75,000-100,000 hits a month. That averages out to 3000-4000 a day. This amount, I would consider a small amount of traffic was able to produce some sales.

I tried to figure out how I was able to do this. The only thing I can attribute this to is that I did a lot of hard link trades. This got my page rank up to a 4 which I thought would increase my search engine traffic dramatically but did not. I have optimized my site for key words and my search engine traffic increased but not dramatically as I was hoping for. The majority of my traffic comes from other sites. I would like it to come from search engines so I’ve got to add more worded content on a regular basis.

I haven’t able to target foreign markets as I had hoped but I have more free time to do that.

I got on Google add words for one day. They won’t list you if you have any teen links which I did but I tried to take them off. I tried to get them all but I haven’t been able to I have a lot of links to go through and that’s a project in itself. The day I was on ad words my traffic jumped to 11,000 a day so I think it will be a good investment because its targeted traffic.

What’s next? I would like to get a combination tube and mgp going that will have to wait until I get on ad words and make some more dollars.

I KEPT UP MY MONTHLY TRAFFIC UP TO 200,000 UNIQUE VISITERS A MONTH

I’m back from vacation! Well what’s going on with my site? I did virtually no work on the site for three weeks. Do to the hard work and optimization I kept up my monthly traffic to 200,000 unique visitors a month. I would like to think that had I not gone on vacation I would have been able to bump it up some more. I been thinking for I while to see if I could come up with some unique ideas. If I could get clip up loaded on to a share ware program like mopheus or lime wire with a embed link to my site. This idea has been out there for a little and I do know how to make the clip. I let you know how it works out.

My blog pork'shit hasn’t taken off yet but I have to promote like I do my porn site. I’m doing that blog in order to direct more traffic back to my site. I also have a viral blog that’s doing o.k. considering it not updated daily.

I have a forum that will accept ads. Once I set it up I have almost no maintenance to do on it. Once some one subscribes to a particular thread and it gets picked up by another forum or the forum gets scanned by the search engine BAMMMM! More traffic, more traffic, more traffic. I like the fact some else supplies the topic.

I let you know how it’s working out. I want to get my traffic up to at least a million unique a month.

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (SEO).

Here are some basics. My first experience with (SEO) begins when I asked for a site review on a newbie adult webmaster forum. One responded informed me that I didn’t have a sitemap or a robots.txt file on my site. A site map is A site map (or sitemap) is a graphical representation of the architecture of a web site. Robots.txt is a text file inserted on to your website that tells a web crawler what it can crawl on your site meaning what directory it can scan to get information for the search engines. Wow! Seems like some techy shit. Don’t worry about it its any big deal.

Well in my case I use dreamweaver to build my web pages there a drop down menu under the menu entry called site drop it down and you’ll see site map. Boom once it’s done you up load it to your site. Done deal. If you use some other wysiwyg to write your pages I’m sure there is a function to do this also if not you can search on line for free software that will do this for you. I checked it out and there is plenty. Some webmaster write there own but I think it would be much easer to keep it up to date with a program.

Next robots text. Here's a basic "robots.txt" file:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

The star (*) tell all robots to not scan what’s behind the back slash (/). Why do I need this? Well you wouldn’t the spider or crawler to scan your configuration file where you password is located. I couldn’t understand why my password page came up when I did a search on yahoo for my site. (ha, ha) it happened to me. In my situation I only wanted the crawl to scan directories that contain my galleries, static pages and blog entries so I disallowed every directory except those three.

If you take a look at the code at the top of a web page between the tags You’ll see a space for this information. Basically Meta tags are information that is inserted into the top of your web pages for the crawler-based search engines to grab and index.
META TITLE tag, META DESCRIPTION tag and META KEYWORDS tags. The Meta title tag is the title of that page. The Meta description tag is a description of your website you would want the description to more or less match what you think a potential viewer would be searching for using a search engine.


The Meta keywords tag allows you to provide additional text for crawler-based search engines to index along with your body copy.

CRACKING INTO FOREIGN MARKETS.

I forget sometimes that this is a world wide business. When I check my stats one third of my hits are from outside the U.S. decided to do some market research online only to find out that the us is not the top county for adult sales. I was trying to figure out how to tap into these markets I’ve decided to find as many adult sites from other counties as can and request a hard link trade. I’ll let you know how it turns out but my focus this week is to get some traffic trades around the world.

BACKUP, BACKUP & MORE BACKUPS!

This week I’m going to working on backing up my site. No matter how experience you are in anything that has to do with it I’ve found that this is a lesson we all have to learn over and over again. We make changes that don’t work, we get hacked, the server crashes then most of that hard work goes up in flames. It happens to all of us. The hosting company that I am set up with makes it easy for me. I have a Cpanel Xtm ver 10 interfaces to my server. All I have to do is go into the backup directory where I can choose a full, weekly or daily backup. I can also back specific directories and mysql databases very simply. So remember this is very important once you’ve get a certain amount of work done on your site just do it.
